La Fancy Women Bike Ride est une parade de femmes à vélo qui a lieu tous les ans en simultané dans plus de 200 villes du mondes lors de la Semaine européenne de la Mobilité.
Elle a été lancée en 2013 en Turquie avec pour objectif de donner de la visibilité aux femmes dans l’espace public.

C’est devenu un événement festif auquel tout le monde est le bienvenue, et les personnes participantes sont invitées à porter des tenues colorées, à diffuser de la bonne humeur et à accessoiriser leur vélo pour faire de cette parade le plus joyeux porte-parole des femmes à vélo dans le monde

Because the Women Can Change the World, and the bicycle may help.

Woman’s visibility in urban spaces is key to claim the right to the city. Cycling is a particularly powerful way for women to become visible in the society and a complete new way to interact with the city. Fancy Women Bike Ride is an event for women, organized by women to remember the liberating joy of cycling and to inspire more women to use the bicycle in the cities.

The more women cycle, the more women will be encouraged to cycle.

Ride with us. We need to act now! also for the #climatechange.

The guidelines for Fancy Women Bike Ride are as follows (although, these are not strict rules) :
Dress code: fancy, Decorate your bicycle, Pose for the cameras and take selfies, Greet people during the bike ride, Bring your best friend.

The #FWBR was born in 2013 in Izmir, Turkey and became a global women’s movement. Every year, Fancy Women Bike Ride is held on World #CarFreeDay in 120 cities all over the world.
You may contact your local FWBR organizer and ask her if she needs help.

Registration is not required. You may bring your kids. Yes, men can partecipare. Yes, you need a bike. Check the F.A.Q on our website.
