It’s purpose is encouraging more women to use the bicycle in urban areas as well as demading road safety for the cyclists.

Fancy Women Bike Ride is organized for the first time in 2013 in Izmir by Sema Gür and she coordinates the cities all around the world with Pınar Pinzuti . This event belongs to all the women who wants to be a part of it.
In cities all around the globe, volunteer women organize the event locally and dedicate their time all around the year to promote and develop it.
It is an independent event.
The distance of the ride is short and mainly in the city center.
It takes place every year on World Car Free Day in September.
Every partecipant is responsable of herself during the event.
Participants provide their bikes on their own.
Photos taken during the event is shared on social media and journalists.
Men may join the ride only if they dress up like a gentleman. Please don’t forget that this is a women bike ride.
